🕺 Monday: Decade Day brought out the bell bottoms, scrunchies, and groovy vibes!
😎 Tuesday: The future looked BRIGHT with everyone in their coolest shades.
👵 Wednesday: We met a few versions of our 100-year-old selves—including a 4th grader dressed as a granny who read There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly to her class!
👩⚕️ Thursday: Career Day gave us a glimpse into tomorrow—from a robot-in-training to a first grader who dressed like her beloved teacher. And of course…
🍌 When in doubt? Be a banana. 💛
Our students reminded us that the future is full of creativity, kindness, and confidence. We’re so proud of them and already dreaming of next year!

With passion and purpose, student Climate Ambassadors presented a thoughtful policy proposal to the Borton P.T.A., Site Council, and Leadership Team—laying out immediate and long-term strategies to reduce our environmental impact.
Some of their proposed solutions include: educating the community on the importance of “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle”, creating public art from recycled materials, adding recycling bins next to every playground trash can, advocating for reusable trays and silverware to replace single-use items.
Some changes can begin right away, while others will require funding or district-level support—but thanks to the leadership of our 5th graders, Borton is on the path to a greener tomorrow.

To celebrate the end of the school year, Borton Elementary fifth graders played a thrilling game of flag football against staff and parents. The entire school gathered to cheer on both sides. The game was packed with impressive plays and joyful moments, making it a memorable day for everyone involved.

On February 13, Borton Elementary Magnet School hosted Literacy Night. Borton families were treated to all sorts of activities, including a Read Aloud, collage and bookmark making, therapy dogs, Scholastic Book Fair, and more!
